The medieval times have always inspired a lot of awe and scrutiny. From the bloody battles to the medieval games that entertained hundreds of people, the era of knights is an intriguing one. So, it’s not at all surprising that you can find dozens of high-quality video games with knights as their central themes.
You can enjoy realistic and gritty worlds and action-adventure romantasy versions of knights — there is something for every taste. We love a good knight game, especially if it has a well-designed in-game world. So, these are the 3 knight games we had the most fun exploring in 2026!
Ex Voto 1348
Ex Voto 1348 is one of the divisive games of the year, but it is one of the 3 knight games we had the most fun exploring in 2026. This game is set in the late medieval times in Italy, and it tells the story of Aetna, a young knight. Aetna sets out on a demanding journey across Italy, after enemies attack her town and kidnap her closest one.

The game mechanics are incredibly straightforward and easy to master. While the movement can feel clunky at times, we truly enjoyed the sword combat. Ex Voto 1348 drew criticism primarily because it centers a woman as a knight devoted to another woman, albeit platonically. If you play Ex Voto 1348 as a knight game without the anti-woke brigade in your ear, it’s quite a fun adventure.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is, according to many, the best knight game around. It is an action role-playing game that allows you to control the protagonist from a first-person POV. This approach, as opposed to the more common third-person POV, makes the game feel much more immersive to us.

You can enjoy KCD2 across three of the major platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. As it is an RPG, this game enables you to use Appearance, Coercion, and Dominate, in addition to Oratory, Charisma, and Intimidation, which were available in the first game. The game mechanics, gameplay, world-building, and in-game choices make it one of the 3 knight games we had the most fun exploring in 2026.
Manor Lords
Manor Lords is the newest addition to our list of the most intriguing knight games. This title had its early access release in April of 2026, and it’s already winning over hearts and minds. It is a medieval strategy game that allows you to build your own kingdom, engage in tactical battles, and manage social and economic issues that arise.

Manor Lords, unlike the other two games on our list of the 3 knight games we had the most fun exploring in 2026, doesn’t have an ending per se. While there are certain milestones you can achieve, like defeating the Baron, to mark an ending, the world is vast. So, you could keep playing, adding to your world and building your kingdom. Though it’s still in development, we enjoyed every bit of the gameplay we got so far. The only downside is that it is only available on Steam, for now.
